Summary Of Role:
-Responsible to provide procurement and materials management support to the D&C,G&G and construction groups as required.
-To understand,implement and report on the progress within the procurement strategy development process for all D&C commodities and services assigned.This will include all documentation at defined milestones in the process as well as decision summaries with all required back up including graphs,tables etc.
-Responsible for the preparation,negotiation,completion and maintenance of any contracts and service agreements that are an end result of the procurement strategy development process.
-To ensure all contracts under assigned goods and services categories are managed through the creation and monitoring of KPI's.
-Develop a working relationship with the technical SPOC assigned by D&C management.
-Adhere to all commercial SPOC roles and responsibilities.
-To provide inventory account management expertise and service as required.
-Responsible for providing updated information as required for CII reporting on a monthly basis including the status of vendor volume and payment term discounts.
-Responsible to create and evaluate RFQ's,RFP's or ITB's required in the normal course of managing assigned D&C goods and services-including projects.
-Focus on negotiation opportunities when developing contracts with major vendors.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Ensure the satisfaction of all groups that are supported by the procurement team.This includes adequate communication,responsiveness and proactively dealing with problems or potential problem situations.
Help to establish roles and responsibilities for assigned procurement staff.
Help to build a successful and efficient team environment.
Give coaching when required.
Help to integrate the strategic direction of the group with the Corporate M&SM department.
Develop staffing plans for the group based upon workload and expertise.
Help to maintain focus of the group upon negotiation opportunities in commercial situations.
Help to complete corporate month end reports for the Husky China procurement group.
Ensure the latest contractual pricing for goods and services is available for invoice verification.
Issuing RFQ's and/or ITB's as required.
Maintain excellent working relationships within the JPC.
Understand the current JV relationship and ensure all Husky China commercial commitments to the partnership are upheld.
Have a broad knowledge of oilfield materials and services,specifically those related to D&C engineering and operations.
8-10 years procurement experience with major,integrated oil and gas companies.
To have demonstrated with actual workplace examples:
a)Advanced negotiation skills
b)A solid knowledge of material control processes-implementation and management
c)A good working knowledge of contract structure and contract law
d)The ability to be open minded, innovative and flexible in problem solving-display communication,facilitation,team building and relationship development skills both internally and externally
e)Strategic thinking with a track record of the implementation of processes and procedures
f)Strong multi-tasking capabilities and a self starter
g)Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of SAP functionality

A university degree or equivalent-work experience will be considered
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
